Make the Switch to ESB
We know that switching banks can seem overwhelming, but at Edmonton State Bank we do everything possible to make it a seamless transition. Follow these helpful steps below, and download our switch kit.
Open an Edmonton State Bank checking account
Open an account by visiting any of our convenient locations in Allen, Barren, Metcalfe, Monroe or Warren counties. Click here to view the different accounts we offer.
Stop using your previous checking account
Allow time for outstanding checks to clear.
Move your existing electronic authorizations
This includes direct deposits, automatic bill payments or withdrawals, and online bill payments. All of the forms necessary to complete this are contained in our switch kit.
- If you receive Social Security deposits, you can download the Social Security form and bring it into the branch to complete.
- You may also download additional direct deposit and automatic bill pay authorization forms.
Close your old account(s)
Be sure to keep your old account open until you’re sure all direct deposits and automatic payments are going through your new ESB account. You can then request your old bank close the account and send a check for the remaining balance directly to you for deposit in your new Edmonton State Bank account.
